Eskridge died Wednesday after having been in failing health for the past three years. Mrs. Eskridge who was a daughter of the late Lemuel O. and Frances Orndorff was born in the Cedar Creek Valley 73 years ago. There she grew to womanhood and was married to Mr. Eskridge. After a few years residence in the Cedar Creek Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Eskridge moved to Ashland, Ky., where the latter part of their lives were spent. Three years ago Mr. Eskridge died and Mrs. Eskridge came to Woodstock where she has made her home with her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Orndorff at their home on Shaffer Street. Mrs. Eskridge was a member of an old and prominent family of the Cedar Creek Valley where she had many friends and relatives and where she was loved for her many lovely traits of character. She also had many appreciative friends in her adopted home, Ashland, Ky., who will be grieved to learn of her passing. For many years she had been a faithful member of the Christian Church and was active in church work until prevented by failing health. Mrs. Mary Catherine Eskridge wife of the late C. J. Eskridge died Wednesday after having been in failing health for the past three years. Mrs. Eskridge who was a daughter of the late Lemuel O. and Frances Orndorff was born in the Cedar Creek Valley 73 years ago. There she grew to womanhood and was married to Mr. Eskridge. After a few years residence in the Cedar Creek Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Eskridge moved to Ashland, Ky., where the latter part of their lives were spent. Three years ago Mr. Eskridge died and Mrs. Eskridge came to Woodstock where she has made her home with her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Orndorff at their home on Shaffer Street. Mrs. Eskridge was a member of an old and prominent family of the Cedar Creek Valley where she had many friends and relatives and where she was loved for her many lovely traits of character. She also had many appreciative friends in her adopted home, Ashland, Ky., who will be grieved to learn of her passing. For many years she had been a faithful member of the Christian Church and was active in church work until prevented by failing health. Mrs. Heishman was born Sept. 14, 1905, in Star Tannery, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Virts Stine. She was retired from National Fruit Product County She was a member of Gravel Springs Lutheran Church and married to the late John Palmer Heishman. Surviving are one daughter, Lois M. Smith of Woodbridge; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Karl Peer, Edward McDonough, Jeffery Strosnider, Robert Ryan, Rodger Jenkins and Thomas Painter.
